About the company
Our client is a venture-backed AI startup of about 12 people in New York, building production AI agents for corporate finance teams at hundreds of enterprise customers. The team is flat and works directly with the founders.
The role
You would build agents and agentic systems, design and run the backend behind them, and own product areas end to end with design, go-to-market and customers. The work includes evaluation sets, tracing and observability for the agents, and integrating enterprise data sources such as ERPs, banks and billing systems.
What you'll do
- Build AI agents and agentic systems in Python
- Design and run the backend: data models, APIs, Postgres, DynamoDB and Redis
- Own product areas end to end with designers, go-to-market and customers
- Build evaluation sets, tracing and observability for the agents
- Integrate enterprise data sources using durable workflow tooling
Nice to have
- Finance or another regulated, sensitive-data industry
- TypeScript/Node and Python; LangChain, LangGraph or Temporal
- Built evals, tracing or observability for AI agents
Tech stack
Python, TypeScript/Node, LangChain, LangGraph, Temporal, Postgres, DynamoDB and Redis.
Compensation & logistics
- $150k–$250k base + competitive equity
- On-site five days a week in Flatiron, New York
- No visa sponsorship: open only to candidates already authorized to work in the US who will not need sponsorship now or in the future
- 3–8 years of experience
