About the company

Our client is an early-stage startup building an agent workforce platform that is seeing rapid early adoption. The team is small and high-velocity.

The role

This founding engineer seat is for a product-minded engineer with a strong intuition for production. You would own the application layer of the platform and help scale the product to meet fast-growing demand, leading architecture and product decisions with early customers.

What you'll do

  • Own the application layer, from observability and permissions to the control plane and user-facing dashboards
  • Design and build scalable APIs, backend systems and developer tooling
  • Lead architecture and product decisions, working directly with early customers
  • Own features end to end, from concept and design through launch
  • Help scale the agent infrastructure to keep up with rapid growth

Nice to have

  • Experience with AI/ML systems or agentic workflows
  • Cloud deployment experience (AWS, Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Founded a startup, ideally through a top accelerator
  • A fast promotion track

Tech stack

React, Next.js, TypeScript, Node.js, AWS, Terraform, Docker and Kubernetes.

Compensation & logistics

  • $175k–$375k base + competitive equity
  • On-site in San Francisco
  • Open to candidates who need no sponsorship, TN visas and H-1B transfers; other visas case by case
  • 3–7 years of experience
  • 1 hire planned
