Founding Engineer (Full Stack)

About the company

Our client is a fast-growing B2B startup building AI agents that run interactive product demos for buyers. They recently tripled in a month, raised a new round, and have around 20 customers. The engineering team is currently the CTO plus contractors.

The role

You and one other founding engineer will set the technical culture for everyone who follows. There is no lane: the agent (LLM orchestration, tool use, voice), the embeddable generative UI, the customer platform, evals and self-improvement, and the infrastructure that makes demos start instantly. Expect problem statements rather than specs, and everything from agent orchestration to CSS fixes.

What you'll do

• Debug agent conversations and ship fixes to the orchestration layer
• Prototype generative UI that adapts in real time to what a prospect cares about
• Maintain the eval pipeline and fix regressions quickly
• Build platform features such as agent versioning and previews
• Keep the infrastructure fast — no cold starts, no loading screens

• Experience at a VC-backed sales-tech startup
• Strong product sense; excited to turn user feedback into code

Tech stack

Python and React, with LLM orchestration, voice and browser agents.

Compensation & logistics

• $180k–$230k base + competitive equity
• On-site five days a week in San Francisco
• No visa sponsorship: open only to candidates already authorized to work in the US who will not need sponsorship now or in the future
• 1–5 years of experience
